Hello all!
I have 2010 Ram 2500 with towing etc..

When I connect my camper its not supplying 12v to the camper (I know this because I dont have any batteries in the camper right not).

My electronic tongue jack doesn't work..

I had a 2004 Ram 1500 at one time and it supplied 12v to the camper via the 7 way plug..

Is there a setting I need to change? The connection is tight and correct. My truck sees the camper and the brake controller works.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I don't know on a Ram but on a GM you need to install a fuse in the fuse box under the hood to activate the 12v power, this may be the case on a Ram too. The easiest thing to do would be to use a multimeter and see if the pin has power to it, it would be the pin in the 1 o'clock position. Also, I am guessing that the 12v power from the truck would not be suffucient to run an electric trailer jack, it is designed for charging the battery on the trailer.

on the trailer you should also check the wiring to see if the trailer jack is even connected to the wiring from the 7 way. On my old travel trailer there were a few wires that hooked up to the battery terminals. I think most likely the trailer jack wiring is not powered unless it is all hooked to a battery as there isn't a direct connection from the 7 way to the trailer jack.

If you don't have a multi meter let me know and I can check my truck to see if it is powered, I have the tow package and haven't added any fuses under the hood but I haven't towed a travel trailer yet with it.

I dont belive the elec tounge jack is wired to work with only the 7-way plugged in. I know mine didn't. Had to have the battery hooked up on the tt.

My 2013 supplies 12v on the aux pin, didn't need a fuse. Pull the 7 pin wiring diagrams and use a multimeter.

My 2015 1500 will operate the hitch jack (pin #4 of 7 pin connector) without changing or adding anything to the stock system. However I would like to know how much current can be supplied from pin 4. I have 2. Lithium batteries in my camper and would like to know how many amps it will supply to the batteries?
