8.4 navigation live traffic

Hello I made the 5.0 to 8.4an 1 year ago in my 2014.

Two week ago I got during 2 days the live traffic for my city ( which is availble in my city according to uconnect ) I was in a part of town where I don't go very often.

Since I lost the live traffic. I guess the data are by a rds-tmc antenna.

Since I didn't have the 8.4 from factory, I believe i don't have this kind of antenna and I only get the signal where it's strong.

At some spot in the city my app icon got a 1x signal .

Can I buy somewhere the antenna that got that signal ? I still have two plug availble from behind my 8.4

Helo Sir , XM had a promotion for the month of June Travelink and realtime traffic was free for everyone .

As RLK stated there was a free promo last month. If you get a subscription for the Real Time Traffic or Travel Link it will work no matter where you live on any main roadways. It was around 80.00 a year when I called to renew mine. Go into your XM settings on your radio and you can see if you are subscribed. I love it and use it all of the time.

I don't think travelink is available in Ca.

It does work on the Canadian radios in the US though. I had an RA4 8.4" CA radio installed and it had active travelink in Tn

But where I got the signal it was in Canada. But it's a radio from a truck from usa.

Too bad it's not a free thing. It was looking really nice .
