8.4 radio screen freezing on startup

2013 1500 with 8.4 Uconnect radio.
I performed the radio software update a few months ago. The message that an update was needed kept popping up so I allowed the update. It took about 45 minutes. Since then I have had an issue with the radio screen freezing on the startup screen when the truck is cranked. By startup screen, I mean the initial page that displays "Uconnect" and a warning to always obey traffic rules plus an "uploading" notice. The page seems to be in the normal "upload" mode for a few seconds each time the truck is started, but sometimes it does not come out of that screen. The radio plays and I can change channels and volume. The back up camera works. The nav cannot be seen because the screen is locked on the startup page.
The screen always restarts correctly if I stop and turn off the ignition but it is a bit of a hassle if I do not notice the issue until I am already rolling down the road.

There is a new update that came out end of March, download it from the uconnect site, put on a 16gb or 8 usb stick in fat 32 format. Stick files on stick and stick in your media hub, not one for charging, but one that plays usb music. Turn ignition on or start truck, wait like 2-4 minutes and a message will come up on screen if you want to install update, make sure is newer update than you have and select yes. After about 15 minutes should finish. There was a issue with a recent update, so should fix it.

There is an update available from the Uconnect website for this truck, according to the vin. I updated the radio over the air a few months back and the software that is currently installed is 17.43.01. The new software is a Nov 2017 update and that software update will bring the system up to 17.11.07. The radio already has a newer update than the one on the Uconnect website. The new software update that is offered also does not address the current issue with the radio.

Odd software I just installed on my 2015 8.4an was a march 2018 update, there were 2 available, Nov and march but uconnect messed up and labeled the old update as March 2018, but I knew since I had the Nov update, so mine is newer than the ones you posted. Look at firmware # not date. Will have to look at what mine is currently on.
