8.4 uaq radio screen flashing colors with lines

I have a 18 ram uaq radio that I purchased with a supposedly changed touch screen the radio has now started to flash colors and lines and sometimes will have the screen go black but have some backlighting but the audio and the touch screen seems to be working still the the screen works fine in the morning when cooler but doesn't seem to work during the day like there is some issue when it warms up in the day could the issue be a failing screen or could it be a hardware issue thanks in advance

I'm betting the ribbon cable isn't seated fully if it changes with temps. If you open it up you can reseat it.
