8.4 replacement

So.. I'm going through posts here and I'm trying to figure out what would be a good aftermarket head unit to replace my 8.4 uconnect. I got the Alpine package as well. I'm in a 17 sport with all the bells and whistles. I'm currently running a single 10" sub and amp off a lc2i. I'm wanting Android auto and something better overall.

Does anyone have any recommendations on whats good?

I’ve got the pioneer 4500nex and I really like it. With the idata adapters you keep access to the stock settings menu of the truck. The radio has not just android auto, but wireless android auto. It’s nice not having to plug in to get the functionality if you don’t want to.

The UAQ retrokit is the best option if you want to keep all the 8.4 functionality.

Not really. A aftermarket radio with the idata adapter will do everything the 8.4 can and more.

I'm not gonna spend that much on the same deck essentially. I'd like more options for background eq and wireless Android auto.
