8.4 Uconnect/Bluetooth from 3" W/O Bluetooth

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 tradesman with the 3" radio with no Bluetooth/Uconnect function. It seems most people that have swapped to the RA3/RA4 have gone from either a 3" uconnect or 5".

So my question is the Bluetooth module a separate part or incorporated into the head-unit. I found the module for 2012 and older but cant find anything for a 13+.

From what I have researched I need steering wheels controls and mic too.

Bluetooth is part of the radio itself. The functionality is there by default. You just need a mirror with mics for the handsfree to work (you can still connect and play music without that part)

Exactly what JOHRY said.

most auto wreckers ave the mirror assembly for a half decent price. just dont forget any wire harness running down the a pillar if you want to do the swap

Thanks again, I'm trying to keep my stock mirror as I guess Im the only person that would rather have my backup cam up their instead of the head unit. Its been a rough going however trying to get a part number for the 2018 style mic that mounts to the headliner vs mirror.

As much as I didn't want to, I ended up going with the infotainment Mic. For now I have it mounted on top of the bezel just on the driver side of the little cubby.

The Bluetooth works great too, that alone was the reason to upgrade
