Hi All,
I’m new to the forum and apologize if this is a duplicate post.
I just picked up a new 2019 1500 Tradesman classic crew for a fantastic price. I have a connection at FCA who gave me a CDI so I ended up getting it for $28K.
I bought the 8.4” bezel from infotainment.com and got a radio from a friend who has a 5th gen 1500. It all plugged in, and the audio works. The only two issues I have are that CarPlay won’t show up and my VR and phone buttons don’t work.
I’ve been reading different posts and can’t find a straight answer. Should I be able to connect this radio (part # 68428539AB) and get my wheel buttons and CarPlay to work?
I was thinking if it could be flashed with the swdl.upd and .iso for MY19, but I’m not sure if that will resolve the lack of CarPlay and button not working issue.
Can anyone help me figure this out?
