Hey..

I just tried to install a 2016 8.4 RA3, into my 2015 Express.

I purchased the the ac control #1uj96dx9aj, and the ac module #6826818611 new from allmoparparts.com and the harness from Harness-connection.com.

I put it all together, the radio works great, on the ac the fan speeds work correctly, and the defrost, max ac, etc work. except the air blowing out isn't cold. I popped the hood, and saw the ac compressor was not on.
I plugged the stock ac control back in, and the ac is cold, (compressor is on).

I looked closely at the harness, and I noticed some of the wires do not seem to be in the same location in the plugs on both ends.. does anyone know if that is how they are supposed to be? or is there a mistake in the way the harness was made?

see attached pic:
notice the green wire on one end is at #6, and at #3 on the other end, same with the white, the pink, the orange, and the purple wire

thanks for any help..

I put the stock radio and ac back in the truck, and the check engine light is now on.. I cant catch a break..

honestly.. no Im not 100% sure..

The guy I bought the radio from gave me the part number for the module, and I found the part number for the ac control on a thread about doing the swap..

I am assuming the ac module part # you have listed should have "aa" at the end and not "11." If that's the case that is the most current ac module part number. I will say the only time I have heard of this happening was due to a harness pinned differently. Maybe reach out to CuylerTech and inquire. I have his harness in my truck and the ac blows cold. I've also done this conversion in a 14 Big Horn, 15 Express, and 16 Express all with no issues. I will say the 14 Big Horn through a code but after cycling through ignition cycles and driving it reset.

When you say right AC control, you're just referring to the knobs on the bezel correct? I got a confirmation email from Dodge partsonline inquiring about the same thing when I placed my order for my module. Thanks

yes, it has an AA at the at the end, not sure why I typed 11 ?
I really have to think its the something with the harness, since the control and module are new in the box.
I sent theharnessconnection.com an email yesterday, Im waiting to hear back from them.

BTW, thanks for the info,
when I got in the truck today, the check engine light was not on anymore, so I guess it was a temporary thing..

Cool. I had issue with harness with them in past. They shipped new one promptly. Sure he will do same for you.

two months, and several emails to the harness connection, they never helped me.

I finally bought a Getupkid harness, plugged it in, and works perfectly

Glad you got it working. Harness Connection/CuylerTech really is hit or miss. I abandoned my RA4 upgrade because of his spotty quality and lack of getting back in a timely matter. Eventually got refunded and plenty of apologies.
