So every once a while my truck will move and make a funny noise at start up. Like its not fully engaged in park. Well this morning I reached in to start it and it lurched forward about a foot. Scared the sh*t out of me. Has anyone else heard of this?

Every Auto I've owned would move but you're right the ram moves a lot.

I have turned the transmission volume down before and jumped out....dam truck kept moving. That dam rotarty knob is too close to the radio. Ever since I nearly **** my pants when I feel the lunge.

I just got a recall performed on my 17' and now it will automatically put the truck into park once you open the door if its not in park already.

This is way different then the normal rock side to side at start up. Truck lurched forward a good foot. It goes in on the 30th for manifold bolts so hopefully there is a fix. Have a feeling they will say "can't replicate" or its normal.

On my wife's 16 Larminie, I was concerned about the knob not fully going into park.

Asked my dealer, he indicated, best advice, stop, set parking brake, then put in park.

My wife is a bit OCD, I told her this, she does it this way every time. Truck never moves.

Have to say it was sound practical advice.

I've felt it in mine, never moved a foot, but it would lurch a bit. My old Silverado did the same thing. I would imagine your parking pawl is not fully engaging or is sticking.
