OK I know this has been beaten before BUT
I made the switch from 87 to 89 3 tanks ago and noticed a 3-4 mpg gain.

wonder what I will get come winter here in N.C
Driving Cond. and habits are the same as well.

expect about a 10-20% loss in winter mix fuels in cold regions.

I'm not looking forward to it here since I'm averaging 16 currently.

I saw 2 mpg decrease with winter blend.
Winter 12.5-13.5, now about 14.5

I average mid 16's to low 17's in the summer. This last winter I averaged mid 12's to 14.

I've been running 89 since new. Runs like a champ! Not sure if I went 87, if I would loose anything?

Haven't really noticed a mpg difference and I've used all three. 87,89,93.
Now it does feel sluggish on 87

Still working my way through my first tank of 89 after switching. Not really noticing any difference in performance. Have to wait and see on the mileage.

I try to run at least 89 in the Summer though I have not seen any gas mileage difference between the 87 and 89. I get a little spark knock on 87 at the track hot lapping and that kills performance though. 93 from now on when running at the track.

I have seen no difference between 87 and 89. More than 1 mpg increase is perceived only.

Octane has less if impact than ethanol content. So glad I don't have to worry about performance robbing ethanol now (buying diesel).
