My idea would be to use an aftermarket pan, with replaceable filter. Also use a suitable
existing OEM tube/stick. Then the only thing you'd need to make custom would be a fitting for the side of the pan, that the end of the dipstick tube would fasten into , allowing the dipstick to slide through the side of the pan into the fluid. Or the dipstick may actually not even need to get into the pan itself, I'm not sure.
This way you're not reinventing the wheel. You'd be using two off-the-shelf parts, and only need the one custom part, which you seem adept at making.
