Hello everyone,
I'm hoping that someone experienced with rebuilding differentials can help me at interpreting my latest patterns. This is my first attempt at rebuilding one myself, and any expertise is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Current Specifications:
Pinion shim height is .025"
Pinion bearing preload is at 15 in-lbs (Without crush sleeve and oil seal installed)
Ring gear carrier backlash is .007" and the adjustment screws are torqued to 75 ft-lbs.
P.S.
I've read that patterns under work-load will stretch out toward the heel, so it is best to be either perfectly centered or nearer toward the toe, is this true?
