Hi I have a dumb question, I recently purchased a 94' Ram 1500 and so far it's been a great truck with some pretty decent interior, the steering wheel however has always looked kinda ugly and is a bit chewed up. I could replace it with a better condition wheel from that era but I've always preferred the ones from the later models.

I haven't done a steering wheel swap before but they seem relatively simple, question is will this work without any major, potentially damaging, customizations? I'd be willing to lose cruise control or something if necessary.

Well if you ok loosing cruise control .. Then I'd say aquire a new wheel like you want .. Maybe buy a junker one from the wrecking yard for cheap to see it it'll work .
.. AS you said pulling the wheel is rather easy . & I suppose you can find a couple of You Tubes to watch. I'd say pull yours & see if the the later wheel will fit .
Cost you 3 or 4 hours of play time & 25.00.

I would check the wiring diagrams to see how well the wiring would match up with each other, regarding air bag and turn signals/hazards.
