99 1500 steam out vents

Alright girls and boys,
My son has a 2nd gen 1999 1500. Smoke/steam basically steam coming out of the vents in the dash even with everything off and on. He has flushed cooling system fully and add new. He has blew out dash area with air hose. Still no change. He has watched probably 20+ yt videos that are close to the same with no prevail to the problem. He needs help for he will be driving in snow conditions in the dark most days for work.

Bad heater core. Leak doesn’t show itself readily as leaks under the firewall pad/insulation. I just sold my 2nd gen to my son and we just removed all the interior to redo, change dash, replace heatercore, evaporator, etc. I knew the core was bad and when we replaced it, that’s where it was leaking and going to.

Or it leaks out of the AC condensation hose to the outside on the firewall - then blows away in wind while driving.

Does it happen when the Recirculation Door is closed, so no outside air enters the cab ?
