Hey all,

I am looking to build a 5.2L magnum for my 96 1500. I found a 99 donor engine and was wondering if all the sensors will hook up to my current 96 computer? Will everything on my current 96 engine bolt onto the 99?

Thanks for the help!

You need to take most of them out of your 96 and put them in the 99 engine your 96 probably no EGR and if 99 has egr switch intake alternator too or splice wires 96 has two aqua stat 99 has 1 should probably change intake and coil

A friend through a rod & it went through the side of his block
It was an unusual Dodge 1500 in that the front Hub Assembly & Brakes were from a 3/4 ton
So he went looking for a complete replacement engine, he found one that was in a rolled over, several year newer Border Patrol Jeep.

He set both engines side by side & took several pictures
If a part on the new engine was different from the part on the old engine, he mounted the older part on the newer engine

The timing was actually the toughest thing & it was not that hard
