1999 Ram 1500 3.9 V6 Want to get rid of A/C. Does anyone know what the part number or the size of the shorter belt I would need or should I go with the compressor delete pulley?

Why? I wouldn’t be without a/c. Besides a/c, it’s used for the defrost mode.

I deleted the compressor on an older Honda a few years ago. Wasn’t sure of the belt size so I removed the compressor and used the wife’s fabric tape measure and measured it. That was when I was in Washington.

I’m with Ritchie_Rich, why would you delete the AC in Florida?

Can’t you just run with the AC off or not adjusted as cold? Seems like less work to me but it’s your truck.

I agree with mikeru, just turn down the temp or leave the a/c off altogether. No need to eliminate it.
Alternatively, maybe just unplug the compressor wire?

Not sure if the V6 accessory bracket is the same as the V8, but I ganked all the AC from my truck way the hell back and have since used a Bando 7PK2275 belt. It's the OEM belt for a Land Rover V8, but it's exactly the length you need if you're running no AC on an AC Ram.

You can't use a non-AC belt on an AC second-gen as the brackets are different. I learned this one the hard way...

I'm much older now. Don't ditch the AC it if you really don't need to. Windows open is great and what I would go with most of the time in warm weather, but when it's 90 degrees and 80% humidity, you're gonna really wish you had AC, LOL.
