Hello there I own a 2010 5.7L 2500. The clutch won’t engage when I push the A/C button, I’m not sure if it’s low in Freon and the low pressure switch is just protecting it and not letting the compressor turn on or not but I’m trying to find the low pressure switch so I can jump it and deem that my compress is good and came across this connector not plugged in, when I plug it in a fan comes on. Is this the low pressure switch? It’s a 3 prong plug8CFA970F-0939-4F33-B22A-FD878B61EB95.jpeg

If the ambient temperature is around or lower than 0°C(32°F) the AC may not run or short cycle. The low outside temperature lowers the refrigerant pressure, the compressor may not run but the cooling fan may. You would need to have the truck in a heated garage to check the charge. Ideally it would be done with a vehicle recovery system that would remove the refrigerant and weigh what came out, then recharge the system to the specified weight.

It was roughly 8 degrees Celsius today, I’m not sure if that’s cold enough to lower the pressure of the refrigerant. So that plug I found when plugged in controls the radiator cooling fan?
