A caution about using a superchips tune

I have the 3865 and the trans tune if you put this on your truck,you will hate it if you have to drive without it.......when i take mine to the dealer it sucks to take it back to stock and see how the transmission ran BEFORE, I completly forget how bad it shifts stock, cant wait to put it back in when i get home so i put it back in at a store parking lot, its great how you can remove it and put it to stock take it to the dealer and they dont say a word about it, my favorite thing about it besides the trans tune, is to be able to run 87 octane when I want to and shop around for gas, BUT ,still leave ALL the goodies like top speed limiter off and the trans tuning on, rpm limiter etc,you cant go wrong with this tuner, the data logging is great, check your quarter mile times ,and then if you get a check engine light you can see what it is.....as well as checking sensors if you want to. this is one of the best mods I have done to my truck and you can really FEEL the difference when you put it on 93 performance tune. YOU NEED TO GET ONE OF THESE!!!!

Anyho, Its a very nice Mod Indeed! BTW no 93 Tune just 91 unless some new stuff I'm missin!

Unfortunately no Trans Tunes for me on the 03 so finding other means.

There should be a 93 tune, 91 is California premium, 93 is premium everywhere else

What I meant Daniel was, When setting my SC3865 on Performance Tune It warns to use 91 or greater Octane Fuel, so Yes you can Run 93 fuel prolly for even better performance??. We do got 94 with 10% Ethanol Corn Feed at Mohawk which as far as I know is the only fuel that can be used up here for a 93 DSP Tune, unless Sunoco is still operating n the EAST. USA more choices for sure!

Good post by the OP. After running the trans options for an extended period, once you unload it you can really tell the difference.

Especially when it comes to the downshifts. Nothing like a stock downshift that takes five years to happen.
