Planning on clay, glaze, polish, and waxing my 2013 I. The coming weeks. All Mequires products. Curious if the same "pop" can be achieved doing this by hand rather than buffing??? I've got no experience with a buffer, and have heard horror stories from people like me that didn't know what they were doing.

With a rotary buffer, a hack will ruin paint! I posted in your new thread.

For the absolute best "pop", the paint has to be as smooth and "level" as possible- ie: finest of marring, scratches, and swirls removed.

Modern clearcoats are a pain to work down by hand.

Rotary buffers are a disaster in the hands of a novice.

A good DA buffer and good products are hard to beat.
