A how ?

I just put on Wagner Coated Rotors and Wagner OEX pads on my RAM ! I had OEX pads on them and like them as very little if any dust ! AT about 40k miles had about 40/50% pad left But changed them anyway !
The rotors were un coated Chinese brand I am sure that where at the parts store ! Wore well and smooth but rusted and pitted bad ! SO Went coated this time

So long story short who has used the coated rotors ? How do the hold up to rust and yes I am in the rust belt herein Maine !

I personally haven't noticed longer life out of coated rotors, only that they look prettier for longer than uncoated/unpainted cheapies.

That is what I was wondering ! How they would look after time ! Those nasty rusty rotors bugged me lol Thanks

I’m using coated rotors from Disc Brake Canada right now and I’ll never buy them again. After six months the front rotors are both pitted and pulsate during hard braking.

I complained to the company, they asked for pics so I sent some and haven’t heard anything since. There’s also no where on the website for customer reviews so I don’t feel bad about bashing them here.

Hemi395 who I’ve spoke to about his brake set up (he runs Wagner OEX and Wagner Premium E-coated rotor). He had nothing but praise to sing about his set up. Both stopping ability and corrosion resistance of rotors as his truck sits during week while he drives work vehicle. For price you can get this setup for at rock auto it’s hard to beat I think...

My what I call low price rotors were heavily rusty and looked like crap. The cooling fins were pitted and heavy rust ! Not warped at all, Still smooth ! SO will see what a Good Brand rotor holds up

That is my set up now ! I had the OEX pads before and liked them alot ! That is why I went OEX again. Good to hear their Rotors are also good ! Thanks
