A little rust starting to show

So when I got my truck, it had these scratches on it. The only thing wrong with the truck that I could find. Anyhow, I've had it since July and I'm just noticing that there is a little rust on the bare metal. How concerned should I be about this? And how should I fix it?

Jesus a year old and your door sills look like that??? What the hell did the previous owner wear for clothes? Sand paper? I'd sand that metal clean, spray it with rust converter, then get some of that spray paint that's matched to your color code, and then probably a clear coat. That's a fairly hidden area so I don't think I'd spend the money to have a body shop fix it but that's your call.

Lol still, he must've literally slid outta that thing like kids do down stairways in a home. The paint code should be on the tag that's on the drivers door unless they recently changed that?

Look at the bottom of the door. If it has matching paint wear, the door may not be lined up properly

bottom of the door is fine. Don't like that you can see it with the door closed.

U gotta clean it with brake clean or acectone, seal it and then spray with matching top coat. Look into Eastwood and get ready to spray automotive paint in a spray can. Get a can of sealer and a can of white. Less than $50 for real urethane 2K auto paint and take care of it now. After it's sealed give it time to cure and then cover it with a clear protection film. I don't even know how you can get your foot o that. I have similar step bars and I go from the step

haha...I'm a short guy and I just kind of hop out and down...ever slide my feet across the sill like that because I know what the results would be. As a matter of fact, as a piece of insurance, I put 3M clear protector tape there

I'm going to talk to my uncle and see if I can take it in to his body shop this weekend and get him to do it for me for a few beers lol.
