Im looking at upgrading the audio in my system from the Alpine premium (stock) system to:

Audio Control LC2i
Audio Control LC8i
Audio Control EQS 6 channel eq
Alpine PDX-V9
Netaudio single sub, low box with IDMAX 10” subwoofer
Hertz HSK 165 (2 sets)

Wanted to run this by the forum to see what the general consensus is. Any changes, recommendations or concerns I may have not thought of? Im planning on using stock speaker locations AND wiring; meaning ill connect the output of the crossovers back to where the factory alpine amp is. I've run wire throughout my last ram before, and dont plan on doing it to 8 different locations here. Besides, the wire that's there should handle the power its getting (though I will verify this).

Your block diagram looks correct but that is alot of AudioControl. I would consider going to the DQ-61 if you have already not purchased the equipment. It will take care all 3 Audiocontrol pieces you are showing. Easier setup and you will eliminate 2 sources of possible noise and or setup frustration.

I would love to reduce the equipment, but my concern is that I wont have full signal summed with just 6 speakers. I technically need 9, dont I? Im far from a new guy at audio, but the Alpine systems are the most awkward things ive ever seen in the audio world.

I havent purchased any equipment yet, and would love it if I could make the DQ-61 work!

Summing the L/R dash, L/R front doors & sub signals from the alpine amp will cover the full frequency band. A guy named degland(sp?) measured the frequency output of all the factory speakers in the alpine system. The has a thread on here somewhere in the audio section that shows all the graphs.
