I have a 2017 big horn. 129k miles. I drive alot and in phoenix where its hot. Installed new blower motor about 50k miles, then another around 90k miles. Then last week it was just blowing barely, but cold. Sort of like if it was on the lowest setting but it was on max ac. So I installed a new blower motor and it worked great for the first trip. Then the 2nd drive I went on it turned off the blower motor automatically after 18 seconds. So I had to keep turning it off and then back on every 18 seconds to work. Then I realized it worked fine if it was not turned on the strongest setting. I really want it to work on the strongest setting. I checked all of the fuses and replaced the 40amp blower fuse. I have a new battery as of about 6 months ago. Checked the connections. Alternator appears fine. Only other insight I have is that a few weeks ago the back light on the dash seems to flicker like crazy at night and in odd shadow areas like under a tunnel or bridge or in the early mornings. The passenger automatic window button stopped being automatic up and down and now just works normal up and down. Besides that everything else is fine. Just really want to figure out what else I can check before getting killed at the dealer. About a year ago my main screen for the backup camera and radio went black. I took it in and they told me I needed a new one, when I had them buy a new one they installed it and then found out it was an electrical issue after all and I returned the camera to them. They charged me $700 to fix a random electrica issue.

Was the blower motor resistor part of the blower motor replacement? Typically when the resistor goes bad you’ll lose the lower settings and only have high setting. It sounds as though the motor is drawing too much current so the resistor could be the culprit. The resistors are about $30 and YouTube is your friend for tutorials on replacement.

I bought a resistor online, but then couldnt find out anywhere to install it. Then I was reading that the resistor is part of the blower motor assembly. I did not have this issue with my old blower motor, just this new one. Wondering if I should just ask for another blower motor from autozone and maybe this one is defective? Since it only take a few minutes to swap.

Being as you live in Haboob country, when was the last time that you changed the trucks Cabin Air Filter ?
Where you live, do you change it 3 times a Year ??

If i am not mistaken, the power source for the Hvac Blower is mounted around the Passenger side kick panel. Possibly something is getting overly warm in there, like the blower motor resistor
