Pretty much average. I also swapped to AEV wheels and 35 inch Toyo MTs at 7K.

My best tank has been 11.29! I religiously record everything I do to the PW...including gas fills!

True average has been 10.66!

Pulling my 34.5’ toyhauler, fully loaded H2O and my RZR...6.8!
Ouch!!!! I was following my boss in his CTD Megacab! Lots of hills, dirt roads in 4x4!

I love my PWAGON!

I find that either people exaggerate or are a victim of common core math when I see high mpg claims.

Look here and you can get an idea of real world, hand caculated (not lie-o-meter) mpgs. Most are averaging around 12 give or take and that is what I saw in mine..

.
Cool link now if everyone would read it and stop all the peacocking over MPG.
Nice that it breaks it down to the year so the numbers aren't skewed by the 8sp vs 6sp ect

have a 2017 ignition orange 4X4 crew cab, 5.7, 3.91 rear end, 275/60/20 Goodrich tires rugged terrain, kept at 3pounds pressure. keep detailed records of everything on the truck. Use actual calculator establish mileage info. Around town in 54wd auto I get between 15.5 and 16.2 mpg, no load in bed, with bed cover installed. Pure highway at 70-75 mph I average between 20.4- 21.4. At an average of 65mph, I get right around 24.8. Asking around have found that folks with Nitto, Goodyear, or off brand tires seem to lose a mile per gallon or more, or if they have gone way bigger, in width and height, the mileage drops even more. Sol it really is a 'pick your own poison' sort of thing.

Living within the Rocky Mountains, I am either driving up a grade or down a grade. Some of the valleys don't have much of a grade following the rivers (Colorado, Gunnison, Arkansas, Yampa, Green, Platte etc.), but then they still have slight grades. To drive south from my area it's on a 61.4 mile long highway which starts out at around 5,000 feet, steadily climbs 6,000 feet to around 11,000 feet, followed by a steady 6,000 foot descent. The PW always seem to get it's best unrealistic 20 plus MPG going down!

2019 Ram big horn 4wd, not fully broken in yet. We did our first big road trip from home to Toronto to fly to Cancun. Here's the conditions and results:

Total round trip miles: 1500miles
-280 of those miles were on my lovely remote highway and done in 4auto, kicking into and out of 4wd (ice pack road).
-about 100 of them were in city driving
-The rest was split about 50\50 between 60mph highway, and 75mph highway, all 2wd
-The first tank was "regular" gas (they don't sell anything else where I live), after it burned up i ran mid-grade for the rest
-Avg temp was -20deg
-4 passengers x2 pieces of luggage a piece

Mileage came in at 22mpg for the "overall average" of the entire trip.

My 2013 RAM 1500 4x4 Crew Cab with 5.7 Hemi, 6 speed auto and 3.92 rear end will get 19 mpg on the highway, with speeds averaging between 60 and 75 mph. I periodically calculate manually and it comes out very close to what the computer says. I do drive conservatively, no heavy foot! My son has a 2017 RAM 1500 4x4 extended cab with 5.7 Hemi, 8 speed auto and 3.21 rear end. When I follow him on the highway at 75 mph he is turning 500 rpm less than I am and gets almost 3 mpg better than I do! The other day I made a round trip from Phoenix, AZ to Prescott, AZ, gaining 5100 feet in altitude. Highway speeds averaging 70 to 75 mph and off highway winding paved roads 35 to 50 mph and got 18 mpg for the trip.

Been driving lately through extreme cold. Currently, I am riding as a passenger in the Power Wagon near Gunnison, Colorado where it's minus 2 Fahrenheit. Lowest temperatures this week are all below zero with a forecasted lowest of minus 16. The 11.3 MPG plus another 4% for the larger tire size was based on these temperatures. My winter gas mileage sucks versus summer. Cold impacts MPG substantially. The truck gets between 13 to 14 MPG in the summer.

My 2017 crew cab, 6'4" bed, bedliner, splash guards, bug guard, rocker panels painted, one bed-step, ram boxes full of tools, 4x4 eco-diesel consistently gets 23-34 mpg around town, 30 mpg at 55 mph, and on flat no wind interstate will get 27+mpg at 70 mph. That's why I bought the eco. (oh-and its rated for 1000 lb payload and 9600 lbs towing).

I hand calculate my mpg’s all the time. Most are around 11.5-13 for normal dd’ing. Towing is much worse, and a long cruise trip might fetch me 14.5 or so, but never anymore than that.

And the computer readout is usually 1/2 to 1 mpg higher than true mpg.

My exact findings also.

That’s pretty amazing in a “Power Wagon”..............................

I have done extensive MPG calculations on my 2017 Limited...The Electronic calculation is always 1 MPG higher than actual...At 70 mph on fairly level interstate I get 20-21 mpg...at 65 a little better...My combined mileage is always somewhere between 18 to just over 20 MPG...Just got back from a MPG difference on mine....I have the 5.7 Hemi with 3.92 rear.

Just filled up the tank in the wagon today. Calculated average was 12.01 mpg, while the computer readout showed 11.8 mpg (so there, its not always higher that actual). Not bad considering its below zero temps, winter blend gas, 4wd drive use and lots of idle time!!!

First off you can't compare the same motor in a car and a truck. Not only is there the big difference in weight, but also a truck is geared completely differently than a car. Then on top of all that a truck has a lot more drag than a car. Now I think we all know sticker MPG are usually off but on my truck a 5.7 HEMI TRX4 Crew cab the sticker was 13 city and 18 highway. Yes the computer number is usually off but i track everything on truck the old school way too. I have never gotten 13 in the city. I usually get 15-16. However on the flip side its very hard to get much better than 18 on the highway. On way to PHX I can usually eek out 20mpg but its kinda a long slow down hill grade that way. A long trip to TX with over 3,000 miles and city and highway and over the whole trip I averaged 18mpg. Thing with a HeMi is the power. If you good on the throttle and braking you can eek out high numbers, but if you get on it, it really eats the gas.

Only driven my truck about 10 times so far, but I was able to get 16.9 on a highway trip, with a tail-wind, per the computer. That's keeping it under 75mph and letting it drop down close to 60mph on the uphill sections.

But we all know that these trucks are about FPG (fun per gallon). And my FPG overshadows the MPGs with every fill-up.
