added running boards and have a question

I added Running boards to my 2019 1500 classic and have a question. Do I need to re -tape over the holes under the truck where I installed the running boards to the frame? Or does it matter?

Not in the rust belt. Sacramento Ca. I do plan to go to Tahoe where is snows but otherwise a little rain and dirt are what I deal with.

Any time the frame or body parts are taken down to bare metal, you're better off putting some kind of rust inhibitor on it.
it may not matter this year or next year, but in 10 years it will.

If that's the case, I doubt you need to worry about it. If it's gonna bug you, then go for it. Otherwise, drive on!

No sir you don't, the tape is there just covering the holes. It gets removed if you have factory steps.
