Adding a front camera to 2018 PW

I have a 2018 PW and was going to add a front camera. I do not have a factory cargo camera so I was going to add it there. My understanding is that I would need to connect the camera to pins 24 & 25 on the radio connector. Problem is there are already wires connected to those pins. Is it possible that the factory cargo camera harness is connected to the radio even though I didn’t get the cargo camera option? Or do the 2018s have a different pin layout on the radio connector?

It just means that the cargo cam wires are at least present up the the next connector in-line.

Just did this on my 15 1500 and really like the front camera when it comes to trying to park.

I got mine from Amazon. I can’t recommend it. It okay for stills but once in motion it like playing a move on fast preview.

In my case I am using it as the "Cargo Camera" and use the on screen cargo camera button on the 8.4 screen to turn it on and off. Above 8 mph it will only stay on for 10 seconds but for parking of course that isn't a problem. It really is nice to have. If you look closely you can see it in the picture.

Thanks, guess the trick is finding a perfect place to mount one on my sport grille that will look as good as your location

So, even a 17 1500 Sport, if I connect a camera to those 2 pins mentioned earlier I will have a button on my 8.4 radio that will say cargo camera where I can turn it on???

you’ll need Alphaobd or Tazer to activate that feature

Just the 2nd one. The camera I bought came with an extension video/ power cable.
