OK im looking to add a pair of OEM fogs to my 1996 ram. It didnt come with fogs from the factory. I have a nice switch im going to mount in the blank where the OEM switch would have been. Are the plastic panels in the bumper the same with or with out fogs or do i have to change them out? What exactly is involved in adding fogs other than the obvious wiring?

You might have to trim out the holes at bit to get them to fit. There should also be a plug inside the bumper for the factory harness that goes splits off to the fogs. The factory plug in the truck should also be in the dash somewhere as well.

OK got my fog lights in the mail today. How the hell do these things go in? I havent had a chance to actually go outside and mess with it but i can only assume the housing goes in from the outside, bracket goes in from the inside, they snap together, and then the adjuster gets screwed together? Anyone willing to get a few pictures of their lights from the front and back?

For mounting, you're going to need to take the top cap off your bumper and put in two carriage bolts per light. As for how they assemble, I have no idea. I was always under the impression that they came as one piece. lol

I can snap a picture for you tomorrow afternoon...maybe, hopefully, idk, we'll see. Might be busy tomorrow, but I'll try to get one for ya. :)

They do come as one piece but they cant be slid through the front and mounted and cant be mounted from the back in one piece either lol. It's almost like the housing goes in from the front and the mount goes in from the back. Im sure once i actually look at it ill figure it out.

Ahha
You need to trim your bumper plastic.
I got a picture I'll be uploading in a bit that hopefully shows you what you need to know.

Yep thats exactly what i needed to see. I guess the plastic insert is different on the non fog light rams. Ill trim it from the back, open it up, and mount the lights. Thank you very much for taking the time to get me that picture.

Just took a look and unfortunately i dont see any wiring for the lights. Not the end of the world, im actually a MECP certified 12 volt mechanic. Making up a harness it not a big deal at all.

Wiring on which end?
There should be a plug in the bumper somewhere on the drivers side.

Do you have an SLT?

Got the lights installed finally. Was very easy to do while the bumper was off for the body lift install.

Couldn't find it. I bought a factory switch, figured out the pin configuration, wired up a relay myself.
