Quality oil shouldn't need anything added. Ram also says no additives are needed but I guess it couldn't hurt, many think molly is good

Seafoam in your fuel tank a couple times a year keeps the fuel system clean. Can be used in the oil before an oil change to help keep a clean engine.

PCT: As far as fuel additives go--->With todays fuels thousands of owners say there is NO need for them...I have actually seen video through a bore scope of a couple of engines with over 200K miles on both and there was never a fuel additive used and the valves and top of the pistons were very clean...{Little or No Carbon build up}... A handful of the injectors were pulled and all had very little build up....

But with that spewed out! Not all engines are alike nor run at the same efficiency...Especially those God Awful DI engines...

I do believe it would be good practice to add something with the PEA additive at least through every oil change cycle... Techron/Red Line SI-1--->Most Popular! Others-->Seafoam and RP brand of Seafoam...

One thing to remember with Fuel Additives-->They are most effective when they are mixed with the fuel and able to Soak within the build up if any... Adding a Fuel System Cleaner before a long highway trip will really not benefit anything except maybe the fuel injectors...Best process is Add the Cleaner then fill up with fuel @ the recommended dosage on the bottle... Then drive a bit to mix well and let sit for at least 5 hours... Repeat as many times until the fuel tank with the mixture is almost empty then fill up again with fresh fuel and take her out for a Italian Tune Up...

As far as Oil Additives--->They are Not Recommended! Todays Oils are Remarkably Good and do an Awesome Job! With that said! I do believe not all Engines are designed the same...Some Engines will just Shear and Beat the Living He!! out of a good Oil... I believe there are a handful of Oil Additives or some say Engine Treatments that will compliment the oil and produce good low wear numbers within these Engines...
But in General Oil Additives are NOT recommended nor Needed in Most Cases...

I like good old thick Lucas in my high milage oil burner. Slows the consumption and quiets the knock. :roflsquared:

Jimmy: This is how Nasty of a Sickness I have...
I woke up this morning at 6:21am thinking about this...
There are {3} other Fuel Additives I forgot about and let alone would not hesitate too use...

3 are just a bit too expensive but have a Very Good Reputation!

1. Schaeffer Oil | Neutra Fuel
2. Schaeffer Oil | SoyUltra® Gasoline Additive
3. Lube Control

These are my Top 3-->If I had the extra $$$...These do more then just clean, they keep the fuel system {Lubricated} if you believe this is necessary...

I do have some {Love} for the Lucas Fuel System Cleaner! I have used it many times over the many years... {No Complaints}...Used to buy the Gallon Jugs...

My still Favorite and Go Too fuel additive is Pennzoil Marine TCW3 {Semi-Synthetic} 2-stroke oil..{At a rate of 640:1}... It is loaded with detergents {Which Clean and once Clean-->Keep Clean...As well as applies a very thin layer of oil film to the top of the Valves and Pistons in which new forming carbon can't bond or stick too...

One more {Step Child} additive that has been around since our Fore Fathers that just will not go away---->Marvel Mystery Oil! MMO... This additive has a Huge Cult Following and has a very good reputation... Many positive results have been reported and documented... With this additive Less is proven to produce better results...

The real question is--->Are these Necessary? I don't have an honest answer for any of you... But It makes me feel better using them...

Yes I have a Sickness and I admit it!

I'm fixing to buy some Archoil. It does wonders and extends the life of components.

My son swears by Lucas oil , tranny and gas add. I've been putting the oil add. in my old rigs and just put some of the tranny add. in my old plow truck . if it works/helps I don't know , I know he has told me that when he was working on a lot of Subaru's its helped he told me one time they had a auto tranny that wouldn't shift good they changed the fluid and added lucas and it started working like new again . fluke ? could be . his girlfriends car used oil up to 2 qrts a change she was using restore he switched it over to lucas and after the 2nd oil change it was down to about a half a qrt to a quart of oil . could be all a fluke .
