So I was trying to raise the beam on my stock projectors and in doing so they started to raise then all of a sudden I get a thud sound and the beam drops like 12". Fml. So tomorrow I plan on taking the light out and seeing if I can retread it or put it back on track. This sucks. Anyone ever do this or heard of it.

You're the first I've read of having this issue.

You might have to pull the headlight out of the truck, but shouldn't be too big of a deal. I hope.

Interesting.............

I've had a LOT of these on the bench, and never had one do this. Even when I give it my best to F it up with the drill on full blast.....and the extra weight of the FXR projectors in them.

Odd.......hopefully it was just the adjuster bottoming out, and then you can start fresh. If it popped off the adjuster, twist the adjuster out, put some KY on the ball, shove it back in........pull the bulb from the lights, stick your fingers in the holes and yank that f'er back on the ball.

I'm kinda shocked, these new projectors have a LOT of travel to them.....I know when I did my retrofit I forgot to aim it down before the first drive, lets just say that when I pulled up next to a truck (52' trailer) my beam started at the deck height........and went to the top of the trailer over 52'. LOL.......whoops. Really lit **** up! :D
