Aftermarket heated leather seats

I am having Katzskin leather installed next week on my Ram regular cab short bed with bucket seats. My truck is hydro blue so I went with black with blue stitching. Dealer can add heat to the seats for an addition $300($150 each seat). I want heat because it helps with my bad back. I am not keen on the switch he showed me. The switches look on the cheap side. Also he recommended installing the switches on the side of the seats. Not a great spot in my opinion. He said the heat works great and he never has any issues with the heat or switches. Please feel free to chime in if you have ever added aftermarket heat. Thanks
