My recently purchased 2021 Rebel has aftermarket power running boards that receive their power by being connected directly to the OBD2 port. I would like to have a way to provide power via a switch mounted to the dash and free up the port. I believe if I took this to the dealership that the cost would cost a small fortune, if it's even something they could do. Does anyone know of a kit that can make that happen?

Find a part number of manufacturers Name to get their hardwire kit . Or you could get an OBD2 cable that is split in two. Plug your boards into one , then whatever into the other.. probably just called a obd splitter cable ?
