Aftermarket Remote Start experience

I'm adding a remote start to my gen3 5.7. Can anyone recommend a good brand (or warn me off a bad brand)?

There's a way to add for under $100, uses stock remote and no cutting errors. It's on here. Just search remote start. That's how I'll do it when I do.

I agree with the Viper. Has the 5701 on my truck for a year or so and it was awesome knowing when it started, when the alarm went off, etc.

5701 here. after 2 years......range is horrid. So, I added on the smart start stuff.....works great now!

FWIW, I called my local dealer just to see if they were making the factory remotes anymore, which, for gen3 ('07 for sure) it seems like they're not. So, it's def on to the aftermarket.

I just got the Viper 4103 and very happy with it. I also think the compustar is a good brand, from what what my installer told me they are easier to install than the viper. Less chance for mistakes.

I didn't have good luck with compustar. Currently running python
