About the only thing I've seen are 5th wheel style tailgates or nets.

I saw a poor image of a modification that must bolt to the top of the tailgate
It looked like a short air foil & to me, made the closed tailgate look better than stock
It looked pretty snugged down
No large gap between the tailgate & the air foil
This may have been what i saw
