AGS Delete

So I have ordered a active grille shutter delete, same one seen on boosted motorsports. How many of you have done this and any negatives longterm. I would like to change the grille sometime, insert or replace and I have seen where they are visible sometimes after that. I don't want to see them that's why I'm removing them. Any thoughts.

I’ve deleted mine. Mpg went down slightly maybe .5 mpg but my engine temps stayed more steady around 203

I just deleted mine and reinstalled my Vararam. I have noticed it only gets to 203 and drops to 195 and will stay steady on the fwy and 199. I dropped 1 mpg when put 20’s on and will probably drop another half to one mpg. I didn’t buy a truck for the mpg.

All depends on what you're changing grill to if the delete is really needed!
Quite a while back I bought honeycomb grill inserts and removed all but the upper and lower slats in the AGS to accommodate behind the grill LED pods. I had to swap inserts due to Bighorn chrome grill openings too narrow to allow light through.
Stock everything in cooling system, stat and clutch fan, and temps dropped by 10-12 much needed degrees cruising on freeway which is when AGS is active.
I also bought the delete kit but never used it!
From what I understand the delete kit is simple(looks like it), but ???
My light pods are visible behind the grill but Im ok with it...lol
