Some of you know i recently got a big ugly ass truck camper. It weighs about 1800 loaded. It hauled fine by itself but when i dropped the 20' boat on the hitch it handled like a *****. It would bounce really bad from 40-50mph. I tried to be a cheap ass and get some $30 helper springs but they wont fit. So i'm looking at airbags... i was going to get the firestone ones but they are $300! that is more than i want to spend, but i want to do it right. I found these: Amazon.com: AIR LIFT 59551 Ride Control Rear Air Spring Kit: Automotive and they look to be the same thing... what do ya'll think? will they work and last? the specs seem to be the same as the firestone ones but they are almost half the price.
if you guys think they will be ok, i will probably buy them tonite.

Thanks!

Some of the boys on the "old" forum were running those bags and they seem to function fine. Can't go wrong with the price either man. Hit them up. I would however go to their site and cross reference the part number to make sure they will have the capacity you will need.

i ordered them. 2k lbs should be enough... not real big on drilling my frame tho..
thanks guy

Just get yourself a nice corded drill and a quality bit with some proper cutting lube. It is un nerving but everyone does it. Do you have pics of the camper I wanna see this beast.

i love the airbags. i went with the same ones you did, but got mine on 4wheelonline.com for about $190 shipped. Drilling the frame is really no big deal at all. make sure you keep the rpms LOW and lube it up real well. you dont want that bit getting hot

Had these on a previous lowered truck. Worked great, but must always have at least a small amount of pressure in them or they will collapse and become damaged.

A camper shell and boat is like the poster child for airbags!

As far as drilling the frame- easy as pie. Do like AF said and don't be stingy with the lube.

Def air bags man. My roommate overloads the hell out of it all the time, and it doesn't squat...and its a Furd.
