I haven't came across these in person or discussion. Hopefully someone else will chime in, from what I can tell I would rather have the airlift 1000 bags. The air cell to me doesn't look like it has much adjustment if any, and they seem like they would effect the unloaded driving as well.

I have the airlift 1000 with on board compressor. This is the 2nd truck I have set up this way. My fav add on as I do a fair amount of towing.

I went with the Airlift 1000s. Very happy with them. Before them when I put my atv in the back it squatted 3 inches. After the Airlift 1000s with 20 psi it squats just a hair under 2 inches and the ride and handling is much improved. My 2500 stock suspension squatted 1 1/2 inches and the 650 pounds in the bed made it ride like a Cadillac. I do miss my 2500 and the awesomeness of the Cummins.

Magz, Where did you mount the compressor? I want to mount mine under the hood, on the firewall behind the battery. Airlift says to not mount it under the hood but I don't see why it would hurt. At least it would be protected from water spray and grime.

the engine heat is probably why they say to not mount it in the engine bay.

I don't think heat would be an issue unless it was mounted right above the motor.

Something else to think about here, mount a 12v pc fan on the compressor to cool it.

FWIW unless you're constantly loaded/towing, the air cell will affect your ride quality. That's the real beauty of the airlifts.
Also, the volume of air in them in really small. A bike air pump will pump them up in 30 strokes.
