Alright so im gonna try and explain thia the best i can. So i noticed for about a week now, when drivi g over 35mph, that i can hear a whooshing sound comming from the top of my driver side door. It gets louder and louder the faster i go. It sounds like i left my window down part way, but i double checked and its all the way up along with the rest of the windows. The other day it rained and when i sat down in my seat the seat was wet. Ive bewn trying to figure out where the sound is comming from but cant feel the air comming into the cab, just can hear it and its really obnoxious. Would this be somthing thats covered under warranty or no?

Sorry for the long post but wanted to be as descriptive as possible.

Have you had some strong winds lately, that possibly when opening the door the wind caught the door to forced it open too hard? I had that happen in my G6 and it tweaked the hinges where now there is a gap at the top of the door and won't fully seat. Lucky for me it wasn't extreme enough that I have water issues, but that was my fear at first. But, I can hear wind whistle at higher speeds. That damage wouldn't be covered under warranty.

yes, it's warranty unless you are beyond the 36month/36k miles warranty which, since you have a 2016, probably isn't the case.

I suspect you have a folded over, torn or loose door seal.

X2 on the seal theory. My 2016 3500 was making a weird noise at the passenger door. I inspected the door seal and found a slight kink that didn't look very bad, but the driver's side was smooth. I manipulated it a bit by hand and it got better. I'll still try to get a new seal installed the first time I take it in for some warranty work.

I did hear that the kinks in the door seals are often caused during the manufacturing process. Apparently, they pressurize or depressurize the cab to check for leaks. This sometimes damages/kinks the seals.

+3, on the bad door seal.
Had to take my truck in for that too, Drove me nuts.

wipe Vaseline on all your door seals, then gently close the door and re-open it.
look for vaseline rub off, on the opossing metal and see where there are gaps are OR less thickness of diameter, on the vaseline that was rubbed off.

There is your air leak.

While on the subject, biggest killer of anything leather, rubber, or plastic, is lost of moisture. Rub vaseline on your doors seals, prior to every winter and again, in the Spring.
