My 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, with a 5.7 liter Hemi and a K&N Cold Air Intake is having some issues. I mainly notice it on the highway above 60MPH, the check engine light comes on and the ETC light begins to flash. The truck will also sound almost like it's backfiring, and immediately begins to slow when I barely let off the gas. I took it to AutoZone and had them check for codes and they said it was an issue with air intake restriction, and listed a restriction in the intake or a faulty MAP or IAT sensor. Any help in figuring out a solution would be appreciated!

Have you taken it apart and looked for any physical obstructions, broken piece(s) that may have come apart? When was the last time you cleaned/replaced your filter? Too much Oil? Just sugestions.

Yesterday I had cleaned it after taking to to AutoZone. In addition to the previous problems I described above, what made me take it to autozone was when I had started it that morning the tachometer wouldn't stay still, it kept bouncing between 100 and 1000. After cleaning it my truck ran fine all yesterday until I got on the highway this morning.

Now that I found the slip, the error code was P2175.

Have you checked the orientation and wiring for your IAT?
If that's bad, or oily, or disconnected you will pull a code and see some interesting antics from your PCM.
