Sorry in advance for the long post...
I am losing my stuff trying to figure out what is going on with my suspension. I have a 2014 limited and the rear bags are constantly malfunctioning. If I have any weight in the bed, it was even triggered with 6 hay bales the other day, my rear bags bottom out and take 30 minutes or so to reinflate. On the flip side, I put my truck in Off-Road 1 and the bags stayed inflated all weekend hooked up to my trailer, I did this as a test.
This morning, I was taking my dad's 7500W generator, maybe 125lbs, and the bags bottomed out again. Then when I tried to get the suspension into Off-Road 1, I got the message that the Payload was too great for selected ride height.
I have taken my truck to the dealership twice and they are certain it is a leak in the system and can not find the leak. I was under the impression that the system was a closed system. If it is a closed system, it would eventually all leak out and not be able to reinflate.
One mechanic told me it is most likely the control module and that "should" fix the issue. I really do not want to spend $700+ to potentially fix the problem.
My question is, has anybody else experienced this issue or have some trouble shoot ideas for me? This also happens when there is nothing in the truck. It might go a couple days with no issues and then I will have two afternoons in a row of this problem.
