Alarm

Today I set off the alarm in my 2016 Ecodiesel. I don't eve know how I did it. It was unlocked and I just opened the door. Then the horn started going off. I thought I hit the Panic button, but pressing that button only changed how the horn was beeping. I wouldn't have thought much about it , but when I got home I had received an email from Uconnect stating that my truck had been triggered. So this brings up a question? How do you set the alarm? Just lock it? Why would it go off when the truck was unlocked? I suppose I could have bumped a button getting the keys out of my pocket, but I don't think I did

The vehicle anti-theft alarm sets shortly after you lock the doors with button on the door or fob. You can tell the alarm is "set" when the red LED on the speedometer is blinking.
Just guessing on how it happened, somehow the door was manually unlocked? or it didn't power lock when either button was pressed?

It was unlocked though. I never even tried to lock it. It was weird. I hope it's a one time thing
