Alcohol Injection Systems water/**** kit pics

This thing came in today and I have to say it looks top notch. They have their own tanks molded to fit the pump plus use braided stainless lines instead of plastic like most everyone else. It's a 250psi pump with a 3 gallon tank.

It'll be a while before I install it...gotta wait on my new polished IC piping to be built but if it works as good as it looks I don't foresee any issues.

The hoses are the only thing going near the engine and they already match the existing hoses...it worked out perfectly.

The tank and pump will go right beside my air tank and pump in a tool box in the bed.

I don't know the effects on gas but in the diesel world we use it mainly to cool the egt's and it'll give you a descent power bump as well

Water/**** kits on forced induction motors both cool the cylinder temps which is very nice especially with our already tight ring gaps as well as adds methanol as a fuel and bumps the power up. A properly set up kit can get close to 40-50 more HP out of a gas motor.

Meh....I use properly sized chargers to keep mine in check. My 900+ hp truck had no injectables on it at all.

We actually kicked around the idea of putting in a 6 speed from an SRT10 truck....I don't really feel like being the guinea pig for that though.

yeah i hear ya on that one but it would be nice to have that option on these trucks...if they can put it on the challengers the they should be able to do it on these trucks.

holy crap...for an extra 40 hp whats something like this cost (if ya don't mind me asking)...ive heard about them before but never really looked into them..is it a fairly easy install?...and are they only for forced induction vehicles

This kit was $550 or so IIRC. It's not about the HP for me...it's about keeping detonation at bay and my motor alive with the blower and low octane California gas.

whats the highest octane cali has that its considered low?

Nothing higher than 91 out here...that's outside my comfort zone with a 93 octane tune.
