Are there other computer re-programmers out there besides the AlphaOBD? While the AlphaOBD seems to do lot of things, I'd like to compare it to others before I go buying something.

Had to look this one up, but there is also: AutoEngenuityApp-car is really the only other alternative ... https://appcar-diagfca.com/en/
Thanks guys...I'll wait and see if anything else crops up when I decide to start modding it past easy-peasy bolt ons..
$60 is ridiculously under priced IMO. He could double the price and you're still under the standard minimum $140 for each of the things AlfaOBD can do for you.I didn't like the price of alfaodb, 60$ for a phone app is simply something I refuse to pay. Some less reputable people tend to upload phone apps to the internet for free, but I wouldn't know anything about that, certainly not.
Your dealership sounds like a keeper. The minimum at mine is $140 even if they do nothing. They consider it a "diagnostic fee"...if the repair cost is less than that, it's still $140...Well my dealer charges 60.00 bucks for flashing a sales code that they can.with the alpha i added, travel link, power folding mirrors, auto dimming mirror.180.00 worth of stuff with two of the three the dealer can't do.even with the obd connector price included I am 20 dollars ahead with way more options if need be.
To each their own, I suppose. It is certainly an incredibly useful tool.$60 is ridiculously under priced IMO. He could double the price and you're still under the standard minimum $140 for each of the things AlfaOBD can do for you.
JScan officially supports the RAMs. Very easy to use, but I do find the odd setting missing (like enabling auto dimming headlights). You can download and connect with it to see if the functions you want are present.I'm going to say not really. You have JScan. I might be wrong, but it doesn't directly support trucks, it's mostly Jeep.
It is easier to use and nicer than AlphaOBD, which is ugly.
Well his name is Alexi, and Russia has A LOT of developers. Personally, I could care less. Those who are motivated by things other than profit don't charge you for the app and I've worked with Russian developers before, nice guys, very helpful.Another vote for AlphaOBD and the MX+, it's not pretty but it works well and covers a broad range of vehicle functionality.
@67440dodge what leads you to beleive that it's built by a Russian developer?
Alexi is a name that one could find in any number of Eastern European countries (Ukraine and Poland come to mind). I don't care either, it's a little too "conspiracy theory" for me.Well his name is Alexi, and Russia has A LOT of developers. Personally, I could care less. I have JScan myself and it does support rams but not as much as alpha. When I had my 2011 ram it would do a lot more than it will with my 2015.JScan officially supports the RAMs. Very easy to use, but I do find the odd setting missing (like enabling auto dimming headlights). Just like a free ad blocker on Firefox is way underpriced to block the ridiculous ads... Buy an electric Hyundai or refinish my furniture on a truck site? seriously? I could donate $10 to their cause and still have $30 left over what a supporting membership gets me with the same results$60 is ridiculously under priced IMO.
