I don't think there is, but I think it's a good idea. I'll start and lets see if we can get a good list together of the common ones seen in and around the app and then ask @Ghost_RAM to add it to the shared drive files.

ECU - Electronic Control Unit (basically, generic term for anything listed here as a "Module")
PCM - Powertrain Control Module (Engine computer)
BCM - Body Control Module (Body computer)
CMS - Customer Settings Menu (the menus on the radio)
DRL - Daytime Running Lights
DDM - Driver Door Module
PDM - Passenger Door Module
ICS - Integrated Center Stack (aka the Radio, HVAC controls, switches, etc)
VTA - Vehicle Theft Alarm
EVIC - Electronic Vehicle Information Center (aka the Instrument Cluster)
IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster (what the EVIC is labeled in AlphaOBD)
RFH - Radio Frequency Hub (handles communication with the Keyfobs and TPMS sensors)
"Key in MAR" - Key in the Run position, but engine off (not running)
CHMSL - Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (aka Third Brake Light)

Additions and correction more than welcome! I'll keep this post updated for as long as the forum software will let me edit it.

Created a doc in the main part of the AlfaOBD folder with a few additions.

Ok Ram family, I need a BCM config for a 2017 Ram 2500 Tradesman 6.7 Cummins. I know we have a Laramie in the shared BCM folder but there are some differences between the two in settings. Pretty sure we have a couple guys/gals here with one. Thanks!

Thank you. I used windows so a little different screens, but the same "program tire size". I switched it back to the original size and the issues went away. Maybe i need to see if there is a update or patch for the windows version? I just downloaded Alfaobd two days ago.
I changed to the same size tire setting and the errors came up for me too. There was something in the instructions about re-initializing the ABS module. It is a simple thing to do in AlfaOBD. Once done, the errors went away and my speedometer is very clos for my 295/70X18 tires.

Anyone have time to send me your settings you show for ambient temp settings, sensor yes or no, and location. Also any settings you may have on a humidity sensor, location and type. I changed out mirror, installed smartbeam autodim assist mirror. I have power, but something is messed up. I have check engine light and outside temp displays 185 on my Uaq radio. I have 2017 Express and tested my old mirrors just to make sure there is nothing wrong with sensor.

Thanks to all involved. I went out and turned off all humidity sensors, all ambient temp sensors and unplugged the battery. It did nothing and the check engine light came right back on. I changed to single zone MTC, waited and installed single zone ATC. The outside temp changed to read correctly. The check engine light was still there but cleared that with the alpha tool and all is now well. Thanks everyone.

I saw the re-initializing the ABS also but did not go thru the procedure. Did you do the procedure? How did you do the drive test? Thanks.

Huge thanks to Ghost_RAM! All of my issues from the SRT activator app have been completely resolved and all codes are gone. What a great help he has been and I appreciate his time and knowledge saving me money and stress! Very helpful and educated with these Rams. Thanks again man! Not very often you find help like that everyone.

There is a sensor that is fastened to the windshield. According to parts diagrams it's actually a separate windshield part number, but I don't know if you could take it off a wrecked truck and reglue it to your own windshield.

I assume there is extra wiring as well.

It is defiantly built into the windshield with an adhesive or something. I had my windshield replaced earlier this year and they ordered the wrong one initially and I asked about this since my truck has the humidity sensor and rain sensing windshield wipers. Don't know if aftermarket has windshields because I requested OEM.

At the dealer right now getting trailer brake code turned on. Asked if they could turn on the code for tow mirrors and they are saying no that the mirror has to be present for it to work. Is this correct? I plan on going the route of alfaOBD but figured since I was here already anyway.

While I don't know their system, I do know I have turned on equipment I did not have with AlfaOBD. It's not a bad idea, actually it is a good idea. When you go back for anything that would require the truck to be flashed, the codes would be put back as they would be to your VIN. However, I have read many posts now where a lot of people are having issues with dealers and adding codes. Just another reason I am thankful for Alfa.

Edit: Maybe they're saying because they cannot test after codes are added? However, they can most certainly add them if they are willing. That's another thing altogether...

In regards to the rain sense. I believe this is the sensor, 68149325AC?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Mo...7:g:9W4AAOSwN~Zbkugw:rk:2:pf:1&frcectupt=true

There is also a cover, 1ZA38DX9AA?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/13-18-DODG...SOR-COVER-OEM-NEW-MOPAR-GENUINE-/191837763406

What I would like to know is if the harness I installed for my ATC conversion would be what the sensor it connects to? I have a spare little white plug which came attached to the humidity sensor plug when I completed my conversion. I believe someone told me anyway...?

Edit: List of body sensors.

At least for my 2017, it looks like the overhead harness (that plugs into the sensor) needed is part # 68308171AC, Im not sure what harness that plugs into and if you need a new one of those too.

The sales code for rain sensing wipers is JHC

However, there is a mounting bracket on the windshield for the sensor, but I cannot find an individual part number for the bracket. There is just a different part number *windshield* for sales code JHC. Note that its basically the same price as the non-JHC windshield, so Im guessing there is no electronics IN the windshield, just that stupid mount.

I wonder if you could pull one from a junk truck, or if it being installed from the factory somehow integrates it in a way to make the sensor more accurate.

EDIT: from the service manual - "NOTE:
The LRSM mounting bracket is serviced as a unit with the windshield glass. If either the bracket or the glass is ineffective or damaged, the entire LRSM bracket and windshield glass unit must be replaced. Also, if the LRSM is removed from the mounting bracket for any reason, the integrity of the adhesive silicone gelatin (SilGel) layer of the LRSM will be compromised and the silicone gelatin pad must be replaced with a new unit."

I am guessing you are correct. I ordered factory harness for smart beam and there is a extra plug. Pictuture below. I am assuming that's it and is the same as the humidity sensor's mount being g glued to the windshield. 43d144d561bea8706ed02a8c1428841e.jpg

This is what my plug looks like with the other being connected to the humidity sensor.

You can see in the background my humidity sensor.

Edit: As far as the mounting, I have seen but need to find again an adhesive disk like thing which the rain sensor mounts but there is also a bracket that holds the cover.

I edited my post above with a blurb from the service manual:

"NOTE:
The LRSM mounting bracket is serviced as a unit with the windshield glass. If either the bracket or the glass is ineffective or damaged, the entire LRSM bracket and windshield glass unit must be replaced. Also, if the LRSM is removed from the mounting bracket for any reason, the integrity of the adhesive silicone gelatin (SilGel) layer of the LRSM will be compromised and the silicone gelatin pad must be replaced with a new unit."

So the bracket doesnt look like its meant to be added or replaced later on. I suppose if you ever need a new windshield maybe you could talk the glass place into ordering the one for LRMS equipped trucks?

While this is true, I know people have added rain sense to other vehicles without changing the windshield. I believe this is possible but ideally you would want to have the proper windshield/hardware. Going to do some more research on this and if it is a matter of getting the sensor and I already have the correct harness, then I'll be a guinea pig.

Sure does look like my plug. Very tempted, but I'll wait and do some more looking.
