I just got the alfaOdb app this past week. I tried to back up the file as stated in the OP, but got a “no data” message. I tried a day later and saw the file I’m supposed to backup and uploaded it to google drive. I opened up the file and it’s empty, no data inside. Am I doing something wrong? I did have the battery disconnected before trying because I had to replace it. It doesn’t seem like that should effect the file, but since I’m a noob with this I want to make sure. I do want to make sure I have a good backup before making any adjustments.

Hit the battery icon. It will force feed a BCM read & then you can upload the backup your GD.

Well, that makes two of you with the same results. I’ll double check mine again tonight (maybe I was seeing things when connected?). I’ll email Alexey tomorrow morning and explain what we’re trying to do, and what I think needs to be done to get this working.

Would be nice if Alexy can work this out - I almost bought the Ram Tazer for this b/c it also unlocks Nav address entry in motion, but found out it only does Nav, not the other menu'd items ie menu items, ie Sirus Traffic/Travel (sports,movies,weather,etc) phone/text menus, etc... so didn't feel the cost was justified. Although I didn't understand how it only unlocked one menu item, but that's what the Ram Tazer folks said. .

He sent me a test version with the feature added under doors configuration. @chrisbh17 and I both tried it out, and still no go. I sent off the debug log last night, so I’m waiting to hear back.

Don't you also need the 4 digit pin number, or is that just for the radio?

I could use some help!

I have a CD player that worked great with my old 3.0 radio. I switched radios to the 5.0 from a 15'. My new radio never recognized the CD player. I just left it all hooked up under the jump seat.

I purchased Alfaobd and the OBDLink MX in hopes of getting it working again. I've went through everything and can't get the CD Player to show up on the 5.0 radio.

The "External Disk Module" was already Enabled in the Body Computer and the CD player will "Eject CD" when I click on it from the menu.

Something needs to update the radio. The CD Player goes through the motions but will not produce sound through the radio.

Anyone have an idea?
