Could someone confirm what all I would need to use AlfaOBD? I have a android tablet that I am installing it on, I know there are wireless options and that’s the route I would like to go.

Something generally refffered to as a "dongle"

I use this one, I think I paid 50 bucks for it used (this is what allows your tablet to talk to your OBDII port over Bluetooth)

If your vehicle is a '18 or newer you also need a SGM bypass cable, I use this one on my journey

Yea it does, I have the tazer z for my 5th gen and it does plug into the security bypass so I didn’t know if I would need the cable you recommended or not. I did go ahead and purchase it though just in case

If you have the security bypass for using the Tazer module, it should work with the MX+/AlfaOBD also.
I know there's some differences in where the bypass plugs into that can limit what you're capable of writing to

So just to make sure I’m correct, plus in both plugs to security module for bypass and plus ObDmx module to other end and start the process of using AlfaOBD?

I wouldn't plug in both security bypass module/plug at the same time.
If you have problems accessing/writing things with AlfaOBD then try the other security bypass.

My suggestion, get a Kaodtech cable for Alpha and use the other for Tazer. No plugging and unplugging as they plug into different places. I use this cable for my AlphaOBD. Easy to install, can stay in place and still have OBD access for dealership. (Make sure you order the correct cable for your year and model. Classic, and the new version 1500 for instance, aren't the same.)

If you have the tazer DT, that’s your bypass. Plug that into the security gateway plugs like it is supposed to be, then plug the MX into the factory obd port, and you’re good to go.
