New to forum, please ignore my ignorance. I have a 98 3500 5.9 turbo that had algae in the tank. I put in bio killer and now am cleaning up the mess. I have the tank cleaned but the strainer is a mess. It currently has an engine mount fuel lift pump. I was just going to replace the strainer but all I see available are pump in tank strainers. Should I convert it or clean up the old strainer? Thanks in advance. P.S. what is involved in the conversion, and could I have both pumps?
