I do this rarely but when i do it does the same thing each time. Think its been doing it for the last year or so and only happens if its in D.

I noticed that when i gradually moving out from idle and then go WOT from around 20-35 the rpms spin all the way to the limiter but the truck does not go anywhere. Once it shifts after hitting the limiter then she moves out hard.

I can launch from a stop just fine and she moves hard when if i manually shift from 15mph and stomp it but just not in D.

Again this is rare when i do this cause i want to prolong my oem tranny which she has 120k now.

I am going to tone it down to 4.56's so maybe that will help but i am open to other ideas and thoughts. Is this the TM at work? stall?

My shifts points are all maxed out on the SC3815.

Good Q. It was fine before and after the UD was put on mid last year as i have a couple slow rolling WOT run videos and it was moving through 1st just fine in D. I think i remember it started happening around late last year when i went to the 4.88's and low profile tires. 1st is just useless most of the time now

This was exactly what happened to my work truck (Dodge Ram 3500) it needed a full rebuild on the transmission.

It just revs up to the limiter with no difference in mph, shifts to 2nd then she goes hard. Its like the TM at work when you down shift and get that pause for a moment before the truck responds. Its like that punching it from 15 to around 30 in D.
she rips off the line just fine and she moves hard after 30.
Also moves hard when manually shifting no matter what mph.

Sounds like the trans is trying to save itself.

It was first noticed this time last year and has put on 10k since then with no other issues and never popped a code.

tranny replacement is immanent (happy i got this many miles out of her) over time but she is running great other than this.

Have ya talked to Denny about it seeing you have a Sharadon VB? They might know whats going on or have had it happen to other customers. It would be right nice to have a manual VB swap with no elecs we could do on these trucks making serious HP.
