I am about to pull the trigger on these. I assume nothing else needed (AlfaOBD) just straight plug and play?No issues/errors since installing.
Everyone asks where to get them!
Fogs always come on white first, push the button twice and they switch.
On white/off/on yellow, etc etc
They'll plug in, but you may need to get the anti-flicker/canbus modules to plug inline with them. Fwiw, I installed some standard non-canbus Leds in my fogs on my 2019 classic and had no issues. But, I eventually updated my settings using alfaobd to led.Thanks.
Any experts here know if these will work with 2020 Classic without additional tinkering around?
This is where my "I am new here" kicks in.They'll plug in, but you may need to get the anti-flicker/canbus modules to plug inline with them. Fwiw, I installed some standard non-canbus Leds in my fogs on my 2019 classic and had no issues. But, I eventually updated my settings using alfaobd to led.
Depends in the bulbs. Some bulbs are compatible, others aren't and require the adapters. The fog lights may not even need them, I didn't need any modules for my 19 when I added the led fog lights. As for alfaobd, for trucks 18 and up, you'll need to get the security bypass for the obd port. This is where my "I am new here" kicks in.
Why do some trucks need this anti flicker/canbus and others dont? Specifically to my truck, 2020 1500 Classic. I am reading some users having to install these modules and some dont. Does it depend on the brand of the bulbs?
As for the AlfaObd....hopefully I can find someone in my city that has it. Not planning on buying it just to change light bulbs....I dont see myself doing any other mods to this truck really.
@NJMOPAR you got a link to these fog light bulbs???
