Alpine frond door speaker upgrade

Has anyone replaced the front door speakers with 6 1/2" subs?

Would it work?

Opinions?

I mean i put 6.5" mid bass from a component set in my front doors. Used a 6x9 to 6.5" adapter off amazon. Cant say id recommend it but theres not alot of options. SMD just made some sick 3-way 6x9 adapters on his youtube for his car tho

I installed Rockford fosgate 6.5” component midbass speakers in my front doors, and they are amplified. Huge difference.

I put 3-way Infinity 6x9's in like these https://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R9633IM/Infinity-Reference-REF-9633ix.html Made a huge difference. I replaced the dash speakers as well with the infinity's also a huge difference!

I have a kicker 175rms x4 powering the component set, and 100rms x2 powering the infinity kappa perfect 3.5” midranges in my dash
