How much gear oil goes in both the front and rear diffs of a 2013 2500 4WD? For some reason I cannot find the recommended fill level anywhere. I know I could always "fill it until oil comes out the fill tube", but I'd like to know how much oil is recommended. At least that would give me an idea of how much oil I need to buy. Thanks!

8.5 pints for the rear and 4.6 pints. Also, you do not need any limited slip additive in the rear! PM me if you need fluid...

Wow ... I would have thought they took more than that! Especially the front.

I have a set of fabbed "14 bolt" axles on another rig of mine, and those take about 1.5 gallons for the rear and 1 gallon for the front.

Just to double check ... 4.25 quarts for the rear and 2.3 quarts for the front?
